A sharing house in the heart of Lagos: petiscos that keep coming while the conversation warms up, proper charcoal grill and big cuts carved at the table.
Because this house belongs to Lagos — the town of the Infante — and an adega is where tables fill up and wine flows without ceremony.
We've been on Rua 25 de Abril since 1986. The old D. Henrique got a full makeover and became Adega do Infante: same family, same soul, a brand-new kitchen. Small plates to keep ordering, proper charcoal grill and big cuts to share in the middle of the table.
No one dines in a hurry here. Order one more petisco, fill the glass, and let the table fill up — the way it should be.
They arrive one by one, to the middle of the table. The first is never the last.

Beef tenderloin cubes in a cast-iron pan, old-style mustard and house pickles. First to arrive — first to vanish.

Sizzling in the pan with plenty of garlic and coriander. Ask for bread — you'll need it.

Local tuna in a sesame crust, seared outside and pink within.

Seared scallops with crispy ham over a smooth cream.

Crisp thin potatoes, a running yolk and shavings of cured ham. Stir it all together.

Slow-braised, crisp crust and house mayo.

Whole and tender, pan-fried with onion, bay leaf and a good splash of olive oil. Simple, the Algarve way.

Fresh, with peppers and good olive oil. The Algarve on a plate.

Cured meats, cheeses and house preserves to open the appetite while you pick the rest.
Big cuts, carved at the table, for two — or for a friendly argument over the last bite.
Pick the day and time — instant confirmation. Book here and the grilled chouriço is on the house.
